wanderer is a self-hosted trail database. You can upload your recorded GPS tracks or create new ones and add various metadata to build an easily searchable catalogue.
Hey there!
I'm happy to announce the launch of wanderer, an open-source self-hosted trail database.
I created wanderer, because I needed a better way to organise the hundreds of GPS files that had accumulated over the last years of outdoor activities. At its core wanderer is very similar to existing websites like alltrails and strava. With the exception that it is completely free and open-source; no strings attached!
No matter if you are a hiker, biker, climber or skier wanderer is there to effortlessly organise your tours and make finding them in the future a breeze. Additionally, you can also use wanderer to plan completely new routes with the integrated route drawing feature. Once you are ready to head out use wanderer's print feature to take your created map into the real world.

If you are interested in the code you can visit our GitHub repo.
I'm happy to answer all your questions.
Thanks for your time!
Chris
@get_flomped Congratulations on the launch! Wishing you a journey full of achievements and success. What’s one piece of advice you’d give to other creators?
As someone who enjoys hiking, this looks promising. Does it support importing data from popular fitness trackers or other GPS devices? Congrats on the launch, Christian!
