Hi all! 👋 Vinyls is a beautiful music player built with iOS design guidelines in mind. There are no complicated user accounts or settings to configure, so you can start listening to your music right away.
The arm also makes its way towards the centre of the disc and appropriately aligns itself with the current playback time. The disc can also be 'scrubbed' to seek forwards and backwards.
There are also plenty of accessibility settings and considerations to disable motion, dynamic type, contrast, keyboard shortcuts, app icons, themes, etc.
Key features:
- Beautiful interface
- Gorgeous animations
- Brilliant gestures (swipe up/down to view/dismiss lists and view details)
- Scrub the vinyl to seek forwards and backwards
- AirPlay support
- Widgets
- iPad multi-window support
- Vast array of app tints
- Alternative app icons
- Dark mode support
- Keyboard shortcuts
- Many accessibility settings
Requires an active Apple Music subscription for some specific features, but uses your local library for the vast majority of the app's features.
If you have any questions or feedback, please get in touch. Vinyls was created by an incredibly small team of one and I’d love to hear your thoughts. I’m available through Twitter @JPEGuin.
Very fun and visual way to experience your music library. Beautiful animations and visual affects.
I would love if in a future update the pop & crackle affect pauses when the music pauses.
