Vidjet is a smart video player for websites. It uses a popup format to display videos, so you can segment and trigger them to your visitors. ⠀ It's also the easiest and fastest way to publish videos on a website! 🚀
Hey PH,
👋 Baptiste here, Vidjet's cofounder. We've been working on Vidjet over the last year, and we're thrilled to launch exclusively on Product Hunt today!
About us
Leo and I started to build Vidjet early 2020. After we got our MVP, we quitted our jobs and went full time into it.
We truly think video is changing the way to browse on websites nowadays. It creates authentic touchpoints along the customer journey, and make visitors engaged.
Social networks are doing great at leveraging the video power, but websites are running late.
We also think conventional popup are annoying and live-streaming takes too many resources.
Our mission is to leverage video to make websites as entertaining as social medias.
What is it about?
Vidjet is a video player for websites, with a popup format. It enables websites owners to segment videos on certain pages and trigger them at the best moment of the customer journey.
Who is it for?
Any online business can benefit from our solution. E-Commerce, service websites, SaaS platforms, etc. It enables any web interface to add videos in a few clicks.
What do our users love?
➡️ Benefits:
- Increase on-site engagement
- Explain better products and services
- Improve conversion rate
➡️ Perks of Vidjet:
- Easy integration on any website
- The simplest way to reuse your videos on your website
- Segment it like a popup, play it like a video
- A dashboard to track conversions and engagement
Some use cases
- Product video: showcase and explain your products
- Service video: give more info about your service
- Welcome video: say "hi" to your new visitors and tell about your company
- Thank You video: thank visitors who convert (eg: purchase product, fill a form, etc)
- Announcement video: announce a sale, update on latest info, etc
Where do I get video from?
You can reuse content from social medias, or record a video yourself. Here are our recommendations:
- Short videos: between 20s and 50s
- Show real people
- Device: a smartphone is fine
- Sound: no need for a mic if the smartphone is situated at less than 2 meters
- Light and background: natural light with a plain background

Over the past few months I've been recommending Vidjet to everyone and anyone with an ecommerce website 😂 Such a powerful tool when used correctly, and really simple to setup.
Congrats on the ProductHunt launch! 🙌
This looks really cool! We are working on an educational game whose mechanics are not so easy to grok. Maybe we should use Vidjet to embed a tutorial video into our website. I'll discuss it with the team. In any case, congratulations for your launch and good luck!!
@christian_schierenbeck one of our user is a learning platform for kids, and they did exactly the same. So far, they increased their activation rate by 5+%.
Another interesting metric: 60% of people who have watched a video ended completing the - long - onboarding.
Thanks for the kind words!!
@baptiste_ncls That's great to hear, thank you very much for sharing!
Regarding the onboarding completion rate: What had been the rate before they introduced the video, do you happen to know?
@christian_schierenbeck that's a good question!
In a few words, less than 20% of users were completing the onboarding all at once. This number increased to 40%, but it is also because they removed one painful step from their onboarding form. So we can't attribute all the credits to Vidjet.
