Hey there πŸ–– I'm Florian, and today I announce the launch of Videocloak. We ship the first privacy enabled and end-to-end encrypted video streaming product. As easy to use as you can imagine, try it out yourself. As a true tech lover, I am more than excited to write this post. As of today, you can: πŸ“Ή Use our simple drop zone to upload any kind of video content 100% free. No signup is required. πŸ”’ Be sure, I personally, as a tech maniac, vouch for it; not we nor any of our infrastructure providers can access your data unencrypted. πŸ“Ί Stream and share your videos with family and friends, binge-watch them limitless, around the world, in seconds! πŸ”₯ Check out our upcoming features, like multi-audio stream support or the Tube, our command line tool for tech friendly experience. Register with our newsletter to stay tuned! πŸ™‹ You might be wondering why I decided to create my own video sharing platform. I went on vacation and made some videos for sharing with my family. Later, I also created training videos for employees across the world in my company. However, I couldn't find a reliable platform to host my large collection of recordings. I asked myself whether it was really necessary to use popular platforms to share my content. For many of us, privacy and ownership over our private data is an important thing. So it is for me! Our platform makes sure that your data is never exposed to us unencrypted; by default. You keep the ownership of the decryption keys and decide with whom to share; not the platform decides, nor does anyone else. Eventually, I decided to build my own platform, which is how the idea for Videocloak was born. It took a lot of brainstorming, coding, and persuasion, but after many iterations, we're finally launching the platform today. πŸš€ We’re excited to hear your feedback and can’t wait to share more!
