Check the contrast ratio of text/image and background colors and follow Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) with ease🎨 Make sure your foreground design has sufficient contrast against the background, whether it’s normal text, large text or graphics.
We're excited to launch our newest accessibility tool: The Venngage WCAG Color Contrast Checker 🎨. Not sure if your website's contrast ratio of text/image and background colors is OK according to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)?
In just a few steps, you can leave your doubts behind:
1. Enter the foreground and background colors using their HEX codes. If necessary, adjust the colors using the lightness slider.
2. That’s it! Your contrast ratio results are ready in seconds. You’ll know if you pass the WCAG whether you’re checking text or non-text content.
Try it and let us know what you think!
I will use this while creating design system components. Great to have such an easy way to double-check that everything is accessible! Congrats on the launch!
Such a great initiative, and makes it so much easier to check designs and layouts as being WCAG compliant. Definitely gonna keep this one bookmarked. Great work!
Another great initiative and step forward by Venngage! Design is hard enough, but to make sure that it's accessible/easily viewable for the average person is tough! It's not something people would know to check for oftentimes. This is super helpful.
