Create time-lapse videos with all the features you expect for creating beautiful time-lapses in an intuitive interface—plus pro-level features like manual camera controls.
Hello everyone, I'm Noah, the creator of Velocity Lapse. 👋
About 2 and a half years ago, I stepped into the realm of Android app development to craft a time-lapse app with all of the features you would expect and want as a hobbyist and enthusiast. v1.0 is a major milestone in this journey.
Time-lapse photography is a powerful way to see the many processes in life that take time to reveal reduced into just a few seconds. I personally enjoy capturing natural processes like sunsets and movements of the night sky and I encourage others to get out and capture something amazing (hopefully not forgetting to enjoy the moments in real-life as well!)
I welcome any feedback, questions, or comments. Thank you!
Cool! all the videos in the teaser were made with your app? when are you planning for iOS? and why did you choose android over iOS? I think there are more creators in the apple world
@rupgo Thank you! 🎉
Yes, all of the time-lapse videos were created with Velocity Lapse. If there is a particular one you're interested in, I will be happy to share the details (settings, etc) with you.
Great question about iOS and Android. The primary reason for choosing Android is because there is so much untapped potential I see in the realm of time-lapse photography that has not been done for Android users yet. Features like full manual camera control, fine-grained control over video settings, and even some things I working on for future updates, like RAW support, I have yet to see any time-lapse app for Android have.
At the moment I'm focused on making the Android version the best it can be so I haven't had plans for an iOS version. If there's enough interest in an iOS version, I would certainly consider it for sure.
Congrats on the launch! I love the sleek design and powerful features. What's your favorite thing about Velocity Lapse for creating stunning time-lapse videos?
@ihuzaifashoukat thank you! I personally like using the manual camera controls to be creative with landscape time-lapses. Being able to change the focus manually to focus on different parts of the scene or change the shutter speed and ISO to be able to capture the milky way galaxy and stars are the features I use the most.
