I'm really excited to share a small project that I've been working on for a couple of days: Veliance. It's a freelancer directory for Laravel engineers.
I'm a Laravel developer and a freelancer, and for too long now I've felt the pain of not having easier access to other Laravel freelancers - they're either hidden away in some crowded and noisy freelancer marketplace or behind some expensive paywall, high monthly subscription or recruitment fees.
And sadly many of the networks of freelancers that did exist have disappeared or been turned into expensive agency-/consultancy-only directories. 😢 I think this is a sad loss for the Laravel ecosystem, which thrives on the positive impact made by each and every developer who is a part of it.
I want to change that with Veliance - I think it's super important for the individuals in this awesome community to have a space where they can shine and support each other.
This launch is just an MVP (those with a keen eye will note that it's built in Notion), but I'm keen to get it out there and get as much feedback as possible to build the right product.
