Hey, I find this really interesting, since I sometimes make patterns using SVGs and such.
One question I do have, is how is this different from something like Adobe Illustrator's Image Trace?
@xgrv I was using AI's tracer before making this actually. Results I would say slightly better and faster on that app. But I'm betting on usability of a drag/drop online tool (also free) would add value.
Hey everyone!
Some tech details for geeks among us :)
Vectormaker uses the Potrace algorithm to convert images into vector graphics. This algorithm is able to trace the edges of an image and create a corresponding vector path. Vectormaker then colors the vector path based on the colors in the original image and the color scheme of the original image chosen in the second step.
Also Its open-source, feel free to let me know your ideas on improving it.
Hope you enjoy and make this tool a part of your workflow. 👩💻🤞
@burak_tokak this is awesome! I quit using Adobe for more than 5 years now and went full Affinity Suite. I bought Super Vectorizer to fill the Image Tracer gab Affinity didn’t have. Now that Super Vectorizer is kind of abandoned I’m glad about this product!! Thanks!
