Twitter seems really interested in showing you content they think will be relevant to you. Mostly by adding "someone-you-follow liked" or "someone-you-follow retweeted" tweets in your timeline. Now you can get rid of the clutter.

@allanbendy Say you follow me and I like a tweet by Taylor Swift (who for this example you don't follow). Sometimes Twitter will show the tweet from TS in your timeline with a little heading saying I liked it. This extension hides the tweet from TS that I liked, unless you add me to your whitelist. If you do then you will see tweets I liked in your timeline (if Twitter decides to put them there in the first place). Same thing for retweets. If I retweet TS and I'm not in your whitelist you won't see my retweets of TS, only my organic tweets. Both features can be turned on or off depending on your needs.

@jacob_pretorius I understand that. Twitter also will show tweets from users that you've added to a list but you do not follow. Does this hide those tweets?

@allanbendy Ah I see! Sorry I thought with list you meant the whitelist. I'm not sure as I don't really use the Twitter lists feature, but no I don't think it would hide them.

@jacob_pretorius I have many topics lists of people that I don't need to see everyday but Twitter constantly shows tweets from those lists even though I don't follow the tweeter. Feature request :). so far this is really useful

@allanbendy Now that you mention it I remembered that's exactly why I stopped following lists! haha. Ok yeah good idea thank you, I'll look into a setting to hide tweets from followed-list users as well 👌

@tharejamudit Thanks! We will have to wait and see what Twitter think, thankfully the code is also open source 😉. I think it becomes more of a grey area when an ad blocker is added to it, so for now I'm happy to see some Twitter-placed ads in exchange for less spammy tweets I don't care about.
