@bentossell Hey Ben! Let me give some background on how we made our app :). We've started working on the app about 2 or 3 days after Instagram launched the Slideshow feature. Our competitors are mostly companies/professionals who've been faster than us on the development part. Although we have put in our best effort to launch our app as soon as possible, our exams have delayed the launch. No copying was ever intended, and as you said, our main goal was to have a side project on a simple, yet effective app idea 😊.
Cheers 🍻
Hey Product Hunters!
We are two college students who've decided to develop this simple app during our spare time about a few months ago. It let's you split your panorama into multiple pieces so that you can post it in a truly panoramic mode on Instagram using the multi-posting feature that came out late-february this year.
Instead of having to shrink and resize your panorama to fit it inside a single square window, you can now post them in full size, and in a way never seen before ;).
You can check out some example on our Instagram page @unsqrd. Unsquared is available on both AppStore and Google PlayStore.
We would love to hear your feedback about it!
Cheers! 🥂🍻
@unsqrd@grm_ege Well done for developing the apps - I've shared to my networks and included you in my Instagram Live story today - plus curated it to my lists here - great to see Android and iOS apps at the same time
@unsqrd@sophieteng Hey Sophie! Of course! Simply tap the "x" mark next to the logo. We understand that some of our users prefer not to have the watermark and therefore give them the option to remove it for free!
@sagar868 Thank's Sagar, great to hear this :) We know how it feels to see that an app is only available on the other store; so it was important for us to launch Unsquared on both!
