Hello Product Hunt 👋🏼 In the weeks leading up to our wedding, our friends and family kept asking us what we wanted for gifts and what they could help us with as we prepared to move into a new home together. My wife and I researched several wish list platforms but none gave the flexibility we needed. We wanted to be able to add items without being limited to certain vendors, and most importantly, we wanted to give our loved ones the option to contribute part or the full amount we needed for any item. Since we couldn't find anything, my partner @toluadesina conceived the idea to build out a platform to solve our need. Within a few days, I worked on the UX, my wife supported with insight on how she would want the app to work and @toluadesina put it all together. Presenting to you, unboxd! We used it to create our wedding wish list and have now opened it up for other people to use it for all other kinds of occasion like birthdays, new baby, anniversary, etc. Use it to • Create a wish list with pictures and price for your item • Generate a link to share it with your loved ones • Receive part or full contributions in a secure wallet • Withdraw your money to any local account in Nigeria While we are currently only in operations in Nigeria, we invite the global Product Hunt community to test out the app and share feedback. Yes, even if someone forgot about your birthday, you may remind them in elegant way, sending a link to you wish :-) How would I develop such a product: 1) Making agreements with stores.
