Ultracite is a fast, intuitive dev tool that brings automated code formatting and linting to your JS / TS projects. Built on top of Biome (a Rust-based code formatter), Ultracite provides a robust, preconfigured setup optimized for modern web development.
Ultracite is a preconfigured setup of Biome, a high-performance Rust-based toolchain which includes a formatter, linter, and more for JavaScript and TypeScript. In short, Ultracite helps you write better, cleaner code without having to set everything up yourself.
@shadcn put it simply: "Ultracite is a solid option if you're looking to try Biome for linting and formatting."
Hey folks, and thanks for hunting @fmerian !
Super excited to bring you this new version of Ultracite, focused on bringing the gap between your teams code and AI generated code.
Formatting can be tricky and subjective, and there’s a lot of moving pieces to get right. Ultracite’s designed to be a drop-in, zero-config Biome preset to help you, your team and your models generate better code, faster.
Would love to hear your thoughts, particularly on the rules and how it feels to use ✌️
@fmerian@haydenbleasel Impressive launch! A solid product with real potential. Would you be open to a quick design suggestion that could instantly improve clarity and conversions?
@admiralrohan yes! Biome is a replacement for Prettier and ESLint (merges linting and formatting).
Ultracite is a preset for Biome, so you get all the bells and whistles without needing to write any config.
meow there!

@haydenbleasel this is sweet! Is it possible to run it silently or less verbosely?

Is this similar to prettier?

@haydenbleasel Got it. 2 observations for me
"Q: What exactly is Ultracite – how is it different from Biome or ESLint?" was not clear for me, had to search deep into faq.
The "AI-ready formatter" isn't clear for me, don't see anything AI-specific here.
