UI Guideline
Streamline your UI designing, developing workflow
UI Guideline is the handbook that every UI Designer/Developer should include in their workflow. Through synthesizing all the wisdom of the most popular Design Systems and UI Libraries in one place, it makes your work easier and shortens your research time.
Hello Hunters! 👋
Sergio here, co-creator of UI Guideline. I'm here to share with you a relaunch of a beautiful project we created 2 years ago. We have decided to open it to the public for free, to be a library with all the wisdom gathered from more than 39 Design Systems and UI Libraries.
The first time we launched UI Guideline, it was in 2021 approximately, and this was a Freemium plan. But after several meetings and discussions, and by request of several members of the community, we have decided to make it a Free site. The goal, in the upcoming months, is to make it an Open-Source project.
🔍 The Problem:
One of the most common problems when creating a Design System, is to know from the beginning what should be the best practices, the best naming convention, what props and states to include, its anatomy, etc… leading us to doubt and include bad practices from day zero.
In addition, every time I had to define a new UI component from scratch (TextInput, Table, Modal, Toast, etc.) I spent hours going through the most recognized Design Systems and UI Kits (AtlasKit, Prime, Material Design, Adobe Spectrum, etc.) in order to create a neat component ready to be uploaded to Production.
✅ The Solution:
That's why we decided to create UI Guideline, a site carefully built to document UI Components functionality, best practices, their anatomy, props and states, HTML Structure, Figma Template (Stencil) and examples. By synthesizing all the wisdom of the most popular Design Systems and UI Libraries in one place, it makes your job easier and shortens research time.
I've been using UI Guideline for a while now, and I must say, it's been a game-changer for me. The intuitive interface, extensive feature set, and regular updates have made designing user interfaces a breeze. And now that it's going to be open source, I'm even more excited about the possibilities for customization and community collaboration. Highly recommend giving UI Guideline a try!
Hi @zyruks first of all, thanks for all your support during this beautiful journey... we are very excited to share the future of UI Guideline as an Open-Source Project.
@sergio_ruiz3 , Congrats on launching UI Guideline! This handy tool streamlines the UI design and development process, with design systems and libraries in one place, saving time on research. Well done and Excited to see future updates!
