Introducing Turnkey, a new model for secure and easy-to-use private key infrastructure based on secure enclaves and built by the team behind Coinbase Custody. Create wallets, sign transactions, and easily manage access permissions for your team or end users.
Hi hunters - I’m Jack, co-founder and CTO at Turnkey. Prior to starting Turnkey, both my co-founder @sadbryce and I built Coinbase Custody into a $100M+ ARR business. From there I went on to be the CTO of Polychain Capital where I was managing asset operations and staking infrastructure for a $10B crypto fund, while Bryce went on to run crypto at Trade Republic. What was clear to both of us across those experiences was that it’s still too difficult to build in crypto, and in particular it’s way too hard to manage private keys when you’re trying to build new types of products or automate operations at scale.
What we built to solve that problem is flexible, non-custodial, easy-to-use private key management based on an incredibly advanced security architecture that you can read more about here (https://docs.turnkey.com/securit...). Our suite of APIs makes it easy to 1) spin up wallets, 2) sign transactions, and 3) set unlimited policies, enforced by cryptographic authentication, to determine which users can take which actions on which resources.
We’ve been in private beta for the last 5 months, during which we’ve been working closely with companies and developers like Goldfinch, Dynamic, ZeroDev, Station, Terrace, and many others as they build a diverse set of products and use cases on top of this new infrastructure.
Today, we are officially launching out of private beta and are now open to everyone! You can sign up for free here to get started building any use case that requires crypto private keys.
Along with our GA launch, we also released an open-source, embedded, non-custodial consumer wallet example app, which uses passkeys for transaction signing and is built on Turnkey. We’ve seen a huge amount of excitement for signing via passkeys and we’re excited to share this sample app with developers to start customizing further! Check that out here:
You can also find more examples for using Turnkey in our SDK here (https://github.com/tkhq/sdk/tree...), or check out our docs here (https://docs.turnkey.com/). All feedback is welcome, and we’ll be happy to answer questions in the comments – drop us a note!
