Greetings Hunters,
This is my first app launch! ^_^ Very excited.
⚠️ Problem
I maintain my sanity as a nomad by making sure I live next to great services every time I move. Think gym, grocery stores, co-work, laundromat, and so on. The services I stay near often end up defining the atmosphere of the neighborhood as well. Lots of vegan restaurants around? That is usually a great proxy for a chill area with a pleasant aesthetic.
This research takes up hours of my time every time I swap cities. It’s exhausting.
🐴 Solution
Use Google Maps data to identify areas with highly-rated services and plot them on a map. You can specify the minimum rating and minimum number of reviews and the areas will change accordingly.
There are 7 types of services out of the box per city that define the areas: co-works, gyms, bars, clubs, restaurants, grocery stores, and cafes.
Got your addresses? Pin them on the map, and they will be ranked based on proximity to each type of service you care about. You can open a summary per address to see what’s nearby.
Need something custom, like a physiotherapist? No problem, you can search for them, and they will be factored into the ranking of your addresses.
🪙 Monetization:
The app is currently a 24-dollar one-off payment. This allows me to develop the app further and pay G Corp for their data. There are 69 cities available, you will get access to all of them and all future ones. Lifetime access comes with 200 area searches, which should last for a long time. If your city is not on the list yet, you can request it! New ones are added regularly.
Special thanks to @jamespotterdev for coming up with the idea and challenging me to launch it.
Let me know if you have any questions!
