Tired of sifting through generic travel advice and questionable blogs? TripTLDR's AI-powered TripBot gives you personalized destination picks tailored to your interests. Our concise, AI-generated Destination Guides cut through the noise.
Hey Product Hunt fam! ๐ I'm Sam, a solo dev, travel enthusiast, and since last year a busy dad ๐จโ๐งThis is my first product, so please be kind ๐
I used to travel a lot and people often asked me for travel adviceโwhere to go, when to go, what to expect etc. Realizing the pain of sifting through generic info and โhiddenโ marketing, I decided to create TripTLDR.
I've spent countless hours optimizing ChatGPT prompts to ensure TripBot gives you personalized, reliable travel recommendations. Next on the Roadmap is even more information for Destination Guides and probably an integration with flight/hotel booking.
Would love to hear your thoughts and feedback, as I aim to make travel planning easier and more authentic for everyone. ๐
Safe travels! โ๏ธ๐
Thx @mac_czaj ๐
I hope that LLMs will only get better and cheaper in the future ๐ค This MVP is built on top of ChatGPT3.5 with costs of around $0.10 per Destination Page. Once I get some traction, I will update to ChatGPT4 to get better quality. Keeping things up to date will be harder. Maybe I can add some context via embeddings later on.
Currently, I'm thinking subscriptions for power-users and transparent usage of affiliate programs of the booking websites.
@sam_maass I like the idea of using ChatGPT to get ideas on where to go to. One thing that might be challenging is to parse the response from Chat, and show it in a useful way. Ideally, you could also add some additional content about local attractions, maybe from Wikipedia or something.
I like this idea a lot :) Good luck.
Nice idea, and good looking website. A couple features you might want to consider for the future.
- In addition to the months selection, add an option like pick in the next 3 months (it should figure out based suitable season, weather etc.)
- Add option for cost conscious travelers to pick best time with lowest cost.
Thanks, @dipbhi
Flexible time option sounds like a neat idea. I'll look into it ๐
Adding costs for flights and accommodation is already on the roadmap. I hope to do a simplified version of what @levelsio is doing on nomadlist. Getting accurate data is a challenge, though.
