Hello, ProductHunt people!
My name is Sami, and I'm a (wanna be) entrepreneur from Romania. I'm passionate about creating applications that can be used by everyday people.
As an avid traveler I always try to look for the hidden beauties of the world, but, as I'm sure many of you can relate, my budget is often limited. I have created TripPricer to help people get an overview about the accommodation prices in 500+ major cities across the world, and create accurate cost estimations of their multi-destination trips.
Here are some of the awesome things you can do with TripPricer:
• Browse accommodation prices in 500+ major cities anytime of the year.
• Create and estimate the costs of trips with unlimited amount of destinations.
• Calculate the common expenses of a trip such as eating out, going to the pub or a café and more.
• Calculate fuel costs for car trips.
• Share your trips with anyone.
Give it a spin, plan some trips, every feature is completely free!
I hope that you will like the application, and I would happily answer any of your questions in the comments below.
Happy estimating!
This is a great idea and something which I'll be adding to my travel toolkit! As long as it's linked to data sources and not based off a static set, this is going to be incredibly useful!
@mac_czaj Very good question. Currently, there are two primary ways to account for budget differences in TripPricer.
Firstly, users can select their preferred accommodation type (hostel, hotel, or luxury) when choosing a destination. Depending on their selection, the relevant price points will be used.
Secondly, users can specify their budget as low, medium, or high. This feature is necessary because, as you mentioned, some people prefer a more extravagant lifestyle while traveling, indulging in luxuries like dining on steak, while others have a different mindset. They might opt to dine out once a day, walk instead of taking a cab, and so on.
I hope this cleared some air, and I thank you for taking interest in TripPricer. :)
