I created this app initially to help myself with analyzing my dance practice and learning choreography and found it very helpful, so I published it to app store in case anyone else wants to use it.
It compares body movement in any two videos, as long as there is one person in each video and their full body is in the frame.
There are two modes:
A) video play: To compare both form and timing of movements in dance routines or any pattern choreographed to music
B) Frame by Frame: To Compare body form in any other videos with different speed or sequence (Yoga, Martial Arts, Golf, ...)
A couple of notes:
- it doesn’t collect any data, your videos are only saved and processed on your device
- Currently it can only run on Apple devices with A12 chip or later
While it is completely functional as is, It's meant to be an MVP to see in which fields such a tool can be useful and what features (or content) should be added. Would love to hear your thoughts.
I actually love this for a simple reason: I’m using Freeletics and sometimes I’m wondering if I’m doing the right movement. This can help to avoid injuries due to bad movement!
