Hi 👋, I'm Hudson, a high schooler in the Bay Area. My brother (also in high school) and I made Trailerly because, on every family movie night, we'd obsess so much over finding the right movie to watch that we'd end up spending over an hour to pick a movie. We felt the Netflix or amazon prime home pages never recommended great movies, and trying to find a movie was otherwise extremely fragmented, needing to use google searches, movie blogs, IMDb, and youtube to find and vet a suitable movie. I believe that trailers are the best way to tell if a movie is right for you, so we set out to make one complete platform for movie discovery based on trailers. Think of the previews shown before a movie starts in theaters, but personalized to you and giving you complete control over what you watch. Trailerly has been a year in the making, spending our spare time after school working on it. We know it isn't close to perfect, but we are still learning and improving the product every day. We would greatly appreciate any feedback, so feel free to reach out. by the way, it works best on computer. it's passable on mobile, but for the best experience use it on a computer.

Congratulations on launch! Just tried it and tralier discovery & watching experience is great, and onboarding is smooth! For my onboarding picking 10 movies took time (on enough scrolling my Chrome browser gave up and I had to redo onboarding), it may make onboarding faster by having a search to pick movies that user already likes and discover/recall the ones by scrolling?

@gigapotential yeah, we used to have it that way but we received overwhelming feedback that it was hard to come up with movies you've watched on the spot
