Say goodbye to repetitive tasks and hello to streamlined communication.
Hi there!
My name is Cody and I'm the creator of Toggles, an Outlook add-in (and soon to be Gmail extension) that provides users the ability to quickly create reusable rules for repetitive workflows.
The initial problem that I focused on solving was that of employees who send encrypted emails and need to add some sort of trigger word to the subject line of emails (i.e. [SECURE] or [ENCRYPT]). So the first feature implemented was the ability to add subject tags to an email being composed with the toggle of a switch. No longer do these employees need to remember what that trigger word may be to carry out some workflow on their email.
This led me to think about other possible workflows that can be painful, but easily solved with logic and workflows. I settled on an initial set of functionality (don't worry, there are plenty of other features in the works right now!):
- Email Templates (with variables) (Premium feature) - see how they work here
- Email Signatures (with variables) (Premium feature) - see how they work here
- Subject Tags
- Recipient Groups (To, CC, BCC combinations)
- Attachments
- Inserting links into the email body
Given these features, there is a pretty large set of use cases that could benefit from a tool like Toggles in my opinion. A few examples would be...
- Support teams that do a lot of their work via email and are supporting different products (adding attachments, inserting links to documentation, adding [SUPPORT] to subject line, etc)
- Project teams that share updates across the organization via email (using recipient lists, adding attachments, etc)
- Security teams that worry about employees not using the right trigger word in the subject line when sending sensitive emails that should be encrypted (using subject tags like [ENCRYPT] or [SECURE])
- Sales teams that want to share templates across their team and quickly send personalized emails to potential customers quickly within Outlook
I'm launching Toggles as a Freemium product, with a limited set of functionality available for free, forever. For $120/yr (or $12.50/mo), you can upgrade to the Premium Plan, which provides additional functionality with no limitations. I've also added support for teams and organizations to have domain-wide subscriptions (pay by the user) and allows for user groups to be created and rules to be shared with groups or the entire organization.
If you have any questions, or more importantly, feedback...please do not hesitate to reach out to me at Cody@gettoggles.com! My goal is to continually iterate on the product to build a great email productivity tool!
Cheers,
Cody
congratulations on launching toggles, cody. the feature to add tags to email subjects with a toggle seems incredibly helpful for streamlining certain email workflows. how does toggles integrate with existing email management habits, and does it support customization according to individual or organizational preferences?
@mashy thank you for the upvote and great question!
Great question! Toggles integrates into Outlook on Windows, Mac, and in the browser via their add-in platform, making it available to the user in a side pane right alongside their compose window. The recommended approach is to "pin" the add-in so it opens on every new compose/reply.
In regards to supporting customization, the user is free to add actions to a rule (Free tier is limited to a single action, but Premium and Business have unlimited actions per rule) that will add whatever they would like to the subject line (plus all the other types of actions).
Organizations on our Business Pro plan can create rules and share those with groups of users within their organization or they can share it with all users. The nice part of this is that it allows the organization admins to make changes to these rules and have those changes reflected across all users who are using them. This helps keep everyone's workflows aligned and makes management of processes easier from an organizational perspective.
