It:
- groups tabs and bookmarks by content similarity;
- splits bookmark folders into a smaller chunks;
- closes or bookmarks tabs that have not been read for a long time;
- reminds you about read later bookmarks if you are reading a similar article.
As a person of a wide interests, one or two times a month, I skim through about two dozens of selected feeds and open articles that I am interested in for further in-depth reading.
This ends up in between 100 and 200 of opened tabs. It is a pretty big heap to find all articles of the same topic.
So I've decided to create a browser extension that will reduce recalling, searching, and context switching and hence keep a smooth reading flow.
Curiously, Smart TabS may group together articles without obvious connection and spark interesting ideas. Looks like artificial creativity is a trend among algorithms. :)
Then I realized that interests could change, but I want to save posts for reading later or to save valuable posts.
This ends up in even bigger heap of bookmarks.
So I've decided to implement them same approach for bookmarks as for opened tabs.
ToChunkA Smart TabS is available for Chrome and Firefox.
But not for Safari, as it does not fully implement WebExtension API: no 'tabs.move' and 'bookmarks.move'. :(
This is the first solution in a line of ToChunkA's products that are about to change the information consumption culture.
