πΉ.to is the 1st Emoji URL shortener powered by Natural Language Processing (NLP) algorithms. Our π€ extracts metadata from the destination page to automatically generate short links containing semantically-related emojis (as opposed to similar products that simply produce a random sequence of characters or emojis). Feedback is more than welcome π
@cagataycali I'm glad you like the design π... Congrats for your job with coool.ws π I
think that πΉ.to is more advanced when shortening links because it actually extracts metadata from the destination page and uses semantically-related emojis. ProductHunt.com, for instance, is converted into http://πΉ.to/π₯ππ ππ± because the main page (meta property="og:description") contains the following words π₯ best π new π day π discoverπ± mobile. Tesla.com is automatically shortened as http://πΉ.to/ππ, and so on... Hence why we claim that πΉ.to is the smartest Emoji URL shortener so far π€
In regards to releasing the code, I β€οΈ open source and I will share it with anyone who will request it. The reason why I didn't release the code publicly on Github (yet!) is that it is still kind of messy since it was a weekend project and I need to clean it up a bit before sharing it.
@cagataycali Thank you. The review you left not completely fair: it's a conflict of interest because you have a similar product π
It cannot be denied that πΉ.to is indeed the "1st Emoji URL shortener powered by Natural Language Processing (NLP) algorithms", meaning that it's the first of its kind that uses NLP to extract metadata from the destination page to automatically generate short links containing semantically-related emojis.
