PS - @rrhoover last fall you asked how we planned to deal with the šŸ† problem -- so far, hasn't been a problem, given how we've architected the UX (specifically, users first and foremost interact within their community, so there are positive self-reinforcing dynamics) 😊

TL;DR: Tap a button to randomly connect with your friends, family, classmates or co-workers for short, one-on-one video chats. Or, setup channel events to bring everyone from your community together for a series of back-to-back chats. Tiny Talk’s only last seven minutes -- fun, low-commitment ways to bring back social serendipity. It’s like ChatRoulette meets Clubhouse, but with only the people and communities that matter to you. Hey there, Product Hunt! Last September we shared the first prototype of Tiny Talk (https://tinytalk.io) -- an effort to help people stay meaningfully connected during the long days of quarantine by making it easy to have short, serendipitous conversations with others in their communities. Tiny Talk (iOS, Android) lets you tap a button and randomly connect for a short, one-on-one video chat with your personal contacts. You can also setup channels to bring together your entire community (classmates, co-workers, alumni groups, etc), or organize events during which participants are matched randomly for a series of short, back-to-back chats. Tiny Talk is basically an easy button for staying meaningfully connected and building stronger, healthier and more inclusive communities. We’ve spent the past few months iterating closely with dozens of our first few thousand users (thank you!!) -- gathering feedback on the things people love, things they hate, and what they wished they could do in Tiny Talk but weren’t able to. We’ve made a ton of changes -- while also keeping some of the key things the same -- and today we’re excited to announce Tiny Talk 2.0! Here’s what’s new: * Redesigned app, from the ground up: simpler and more intuitive user experience, clearer information architecture, hundreds papercut fixes and new features based on user requests and feedback. * Tiny Talk Channels: users can connect with other channel members -- for everything from businesses to volunteer groups to school clubs or alumni groups -- any members of the same channel can Tiny Talk with other channel members, either via ad hoc chats or through Channel events. * Tiny Talk Events: setup Tiny Talk events -- either with your personal contacts or for your channels -- to bring everyone together for a series of back-to-back video chats. Dozens or organizations all over the world use Tiny Talk for everything from team happy hours to helping new hires and existing employees meet and stay engaged. Thanks for the awesome support, and we’re looking forward to your ideas, feedback, questions and feature requests. To try out Tiny Talk with friends, simply create a channel, schedule an event and invite them to drop in. To use Tiny Talk with your team or organization, check out this super simple teams onboarding guide. Thanks! Doug PS: tap this link on mobile to join the Product Hunters Tiny Talk channel when you sign-up: https://tinytalk.page.link/Ltew -- and be sure to drop in for the Channel Launch on Wednesday, April 21 at 3pm PT / 6pm ET to meet other community members, chat about recent products or tech you’ve recently discovered, are working on or are excited about! PPS: our team is growing -- learn more about our mission here (https://tinytalk.io/about) and if you're passionate this work and interested in getting involved, get in touch!
