Hey Product Hunters! I'm JB, an indie developer and designer. 👋
I'm super excited to share the launch of Tintd with you today! 🎉
🚀 What's the story?
I was bored of all the blue icons in my folders. I wanted something more personalized, that would allow me to quickly identify my folders without looking at the name. So I made Tintd!
🎨 What is Tintd?
Tintd is a macOS app to customize your folder icons in just a few clicks.
🔎 What can you do with Tintd

✅ Choose from a wide range of palettes or create your own color
✅ Choose between 1500+ icons from various categories in our library
✅ Edit several icons at the same time to give your folders a cohesive look
✅ Load icons from your history to tweak your designs and styles

@masump hey! No it doesn't automatically generate yet, but that's a cool feature :)
Raycast
@jbbeau this is fun! Would love to be able to use SF Symbols (or other SVGs) for the icon.
Would also be cool if you used AI to fuzzy match icons, or maybe Image Playground to generate icons on the fly?
Oniri
@chrismessina Stay tuned for SF Symbols and other SVGs, it might come soon! 😊 The AI part is on the roadmap too. Image Playground is a bit more funky to play with, I wonder what's possible 🤔
Fable Wizard
Tintd looks like such a fun and useful way to bring some life to my Mac folders! Searching through the same dull icons every day gets old fast. Can you save custom icon sets to quickly apply them across different folders?
Oniri
@jonurbonas The history feature aims at addressing this use case but there are definitely other UX to experiment with! 😊
Interesting! Thanks for sharing this product.
