As a Software Developer, I lose track of time all the time. You get in flow, forget the time, and that's that. Oftentimes, you get stuck and follow a lead that leads nowhere - a rabbit hole, falling behind on other work you haven't started. I always struggled with conventional timers because they are loud and needy - you need to manually restart it every time... pull your phone out of you pocket and get distracted. This is too much work. I built Time Intervals as a simple tool to "ping me" every once in a while as a gentle reminder... "Hey, 30 minutes have passed... do you wanna keep working on it or move on?". With a gentle vibration and an auto-restart, you don't need to do anything. It will ring again after the next interval, helping you stay "un-stuck".

I've been looking for a better way to do my work out. I'm hoping this helps. What I really want is a consistent way to do my breaks without constantly restarting my timer app. The one thing I think maybe will not work as well for me is that I'm not consistent with the actual portion where I'm doing my lifting.

@dan_mceleney1 that's exactly what I built the app for. Set a timer just before you start the exercise, and make a commitment to start lifting every time it pings. You've got the tool. The rest is your discipline.

I've actually been using Time Intervals for a few days now, and it has helped me concentrate a lot. A goldfish has a better attention span than me, so having a little buzz in my pocket every few minutes made me finish tasks faster and more efficiently.
