ThinkTwice

Do you really *need* to buy something?

A fun way to see alternative (and more responsible) uses of money! Instead of blowing cash on whatever you were thinking, think twice :)

What do you think? …

Perhaps you could add a "selfish mode" that would tell someone how much the money would be worth if it was put towards a better investment in the future. Such as, "if you invested this $100 into the S&P 500 instead, it would be worth $1100 when you retire in 35 years". Or for bigger purchases, "If you put this $2000 towards a down payment on a house instead, you could buy a house $10,000 more expensive" (assuming 20% down).

@thiojoe This is a lot better. Ideally they could let users decide which one they prefer.

@thiojoe I love this idea a lot! In fact, after building this product, I really wanted to make something in which you could see fiscally responsible ways to spend as well! Thanks for the feedback 🤗

I was at a conference listening to one of the Beyond Meat Investors. He said that you should not guilt trip your consumers, but as my friend and I walked out of the conference, we wondered: why not? The outcome was ThinkTwice, which is a fun way to (kind of) guilt trip users on spending on meaningless items. Hope you enjoy!

@sahil_kapur this would be great as a Chrome extension as well. It could display this information on Amazon or Aliexpress checkout pages :) Great idea and congrats on the launch!

@sahil_kapur love the idea, but just have some comment about the louis vuitton cowboy hat and a lot of justin bieber cd's wich are not necessary. good work :)

@shams_din_farvaque Thanks for the feedback! I was trying to find the line between funny and unnecessary!
