tl;dr:
me = "cofounder";
thinkerous = "platform to solve solve the 'problem solving' problem";
Hey everyone - we really appreciate the upvotes! I'm cofounder#1 (of 3) at Thinkerous, and am looking forward to answering any questions you may have. Feel free to shoot them my way!
We started Thinkerous after attending hackathons @ Carnegie Mellon and discovering how insanely awesome everyone is at getting stuff done when there's a collaborative culture and diversity in backgrounds. We saw many companies hosting hackathons internally and externally, so we thought we'd make another hackathon app, but for enterprise.
Soon, we wanted more. We wanted our platform to fundamentally affect an organization, by providing employees/managers/community members a way to continually be connected to its innovation process. And we saw that other innovation management platforms only utilized "ideas" but didn't help with identifying the underlying issues - an essential but often underappreciated step of the innovation process.
So here we are today, with not an idea website, but rather a *problem solving* website.
@eriktorenberg@aaronz8 (edited original post for #1) Currently we're entering the innovation management industry and selling to enterprise, but I think more problem-solving is beneficial for everyone. I hope that we can eventually become a more open system, where larger societal issues can be discussed and real solutions found.
