TheirTube is a Youtube filter bubble simulator that provides a look into how videos are recommended for other people with different watch history. You can experience 6 perspectives: conspiracist, fruitarian, liberal, conservative, prepper and a climate denier
YouTube's recommendation algorithm accounts for 70% of all views on the platform, and while it is useful, it can show the same points of view over and over again, confirming and amplifying your existing bias. This sometimes can lead people to have radical beliefs and ideas.
TheirTube helps you get a better perspective on your own recommendation environment by providing 6 hypothetical Youtube home pages that were made from the watch history of real Youtube users.

This is such a good concept, congrats on the launch! 🚀 There's times where I'll be able to catch a glimpse of some of my friends' YouTube homepage recommendations and it's always fascinating to see what type of ideas they're consuming.
Also, this seems like the type of thing that could really help people who do not understand the algorithmic workings of platforms like YouTube get a better grasp of how media works in the modern age.
Sending this to my mother 😌
@alexanderspoor Thank you for the feedback. My main target is those who do not fully grasp how the recommendation systems work.
I was surprised that most of the senior people I met sometimes thought that their Youtube top page would show the same contents for other people.
