@wienke spoke at "The IoT Show" in August about how he got entire Amsterdam covered for IoT connectivity with 10 LoRA WAN gateways and shared his vision to make it global and to build a gateway device at $300. I have been very inspired to see the community come together in so many places in the world Sydney, Buenos Aires, Kochi, Cape Town, Paris, Manchester, São Paulo, Boston (in the works) etc. It reminds me of watching the making of Linux. I am thrilled to be able to support the kickstarter and can't get my hands on my own Things Uno here in San Jose.
My buddy @Wienke just launched his Kickstarter with his team. This is great, independent, crowdsourced, open source, it has all the ingredients to work and do good for the (tech) world. They already have a global community in place and expanding every hour. Also, within a day they’re already approaching their humble goal wooooow haha. I hope this thread will be filled with technical questions and ideas to make this even better. Take it way Wienke!
@Wienke looks awesome! From your video, it sounds like you have already covered Amsterdam, is this true? We are currently working on a project in Amsterdam that could benefit from using LoRaWAN
@wienke Perfect! Just saw this too late for today, but will definitely try and drop by! I have worked with John Tillema in the past, awesome to see he is a part of it! Hopefully catch you soon.
