Chat is a community space reimagined specifically for writers and creators— it’s like having your own private social network where you make the rules. Writers set the topic and the tone for every discussion, and can turn the feature on or off at any time.

It's an interesting coincidence that WhatsApp Communities and Substack Chat are launched on the same day. I first created a WhatsApp Community for my newsletter on Substack and then saw the Substack Chat announcement. The Substack Chat looks great, but it's a bummer to access it only on Subscak mobile apps. I hope they also enable these kinds of cool new features on the web.
