@jacqvon Thanks for the question! I've been working in the realm of calm tech and enchanted objects as a kind of counter to the slab of glass paradigm we all live in. Idea is to make the world a bit less Minority Report and a bit more Harry Potter. The idea of The Market came about after two other ideas proved too expensive to make as a first product. It appeard in my notebook in April 2017. Then it's been a process of prototyping with a local maker space in Portland, and then designing for manufacturing - which has been an adventure as it is typically with a new product, but even more so with The Market since it blends decor and IoT. Pre-orders went well and now we are just shipping out the first units. It's actually a really powerful object in person. It moves, and you realize that money has moved and the world has changed.
