Hey Product Hunt, I’m Marcos, co-founder of Yerbo, the creators of Burnout Index 2.0. When we created the original Burnout Index we wanted to help tech workers to tackle their burnout risk before it was too late for them. And then the pandemic hit. Over the last couple of years, we saw hybrid and remote settings become the standard, and every type of digital worker went through the Burnout Index. Over 200,000 individuals used the Burnout Index 1.0. That’s the largest dataset of burnout risk in the industry. So we decided that it was high time to launch a new and improved version! Because burnout risk is just one side of the coin, we’ve added work-engagement to the assessment, and with it you’ll get your position on the Mental Zone matrix. This way you’ll learn if you’re in the: burned-out; bored-out; strained; or engaged mental state. Oh, and for our amigos we’ve also added Spanish and Portuguese language to the tool. So you can now check your burnout risk in your own idioma ;) We’ve seen a lot of progress in the last years in terms of burnout awareness and openness to discuss it. But there’s still a long way to go. We believe that we must commit to being the last generation that took burnout to be an unavoidable consequence of working in a high-performing environment. We’d love to hear your feedback and feature suggestions that you think could help raise burnout awareness or tackle well-being issues. Please leave your comment below :) Lastly, thanks so much to @chrismessina for hunting us once again and helping share the word on burnout prevention! PS: We’ve created Yerbo.co, a mental well-being management platform so that managers and ICs can prevent well-being issues at the team level. Let us know in the comments if you want to learn more about Yerbo.

Love this idea. Burnout rates have skyrocketed the last couple of years and I don't think we've done enough to acknowledge this might be common but shouldn't be normal.

Hi Marcos! Just took the test. Going to share it with my co-founder and team as well. We're working on bringing an early stage SaaS to the market soon and it's definitely been a stressful period for all of us. But high performance shouldn't come at the cost of emotional wellbeing. I'm currently in the 'strained' state of the mental zone matrix but it's good to be able to quantify it. You can't improve what you can't measure, right? I found the questions related to depersonalization quite revelationary. Didn't really think that my low empathy these days (a characteristic that I highly value) could be a symptom of burnout. Very simple assessment with useful takeaways. Kudos to you and the team!

Thank you @kuhu_krishna and congratulations! Many times we think that everything is under control and then we realized there are some unknown unknowns under the hood. Using validated protocols to be aware is a good starting point. And you're doing the right thing: sharing is caring :) Mental well-being needs to be community-driven. That's why this launch in public is extremely important too!

@kuhu_krishna thanks so much for your feedback Kuhu! And I can tell you that entrepreneur burnout is something that we've been focusing on lately and there are some tools that we'll be launching soon, so look out for future announcements from Yerbo ;)
