Hi there product hunt community 👋 I built The AI Times for one simple reason. Traditional news is an outdated technology, yet we humans continue to get our information from this source. It is completely biased, not real time and almost 100% of them have some sort of agenda that they are pushing. What's the alternative? Social media news. Let's be honest, we all think social media news is just as bad as trad news but because of our existing positioning within these apps we continue to welcome information from rage baiting , engagement-baiting social media pages that similar to trad news networks are also trying to push their own agendas for monetization and reach. Regardless of what we think about these two sources, the fundamental architecture remains the same. It is one based off of the Industrial Revolution, or I should say the printing press revolution. One party publishes news, humanity consumes. One news channel, many viewers. One social media page, many viewers. It is an outdated model and not functionally possible to be tailor made for the user's interests, or caliber. With the rise of modern LLM technologies, we have for the first time an opportunity to drive out these middle men aggregator of news. We can utilize AI to deliver us specific news, in a tone we appreciate, about things we are interested in. A close knit feedback loop that continues to enhance the quality and content of the information being presented to you, overtime. Eventually it becomes your personal news anchor that is also your friend and knows you. Imagine a world where information is readily accessible, for free without having to decipher and filter the BS being thrown at your face. Where you get the truth, and only the truth about what you want to learn. Where information is backed with reliable sources and you can fine tune it based on your reactions. Where you can dive deep into a specific set of information and continue to probe the logic with an AI companion until you reach the final "why". I truly believe the next generation of humans should have complete control over what information gets to them and how they choose to engage with it.
