Terra.do Learning for Action

Firstly a huge thank you to our alum @pollock for hunting us! We’re so excited to share what we’ve built with the Product Hunt community - because it speaks directly to our goal of building the world’s largest community of people working in climate. My climate journey began five years ago. I had taken my daughter snorkelling in the Great Barrier Reef. She had the time of her life! But my son was too young to go in the water, and later that year, the first mass bleaching and coral die-offs happened. I realized with a shock that I’d taken for granted that the world would be a better place for my kids. The reality was that I needed to actively work to make that happen… That was when I started diving deep into conversations with smart people working in climate (including my co-founder @kamal_kapadia). I learned two things. One, there were many people like me desperate to start working in climate, but would encounter many challenges. Second, we needed to help tens of millions of people across the world make this transition. So we launched Terra.do, a global platform for learning & working in climate. Our mission? Get 100 million people working on climate solutions this decade. Two years later, we’re on our way! We’ve graduated thousands of fellows from our learning programs from over 25+ countries, and over 50% of them from the developing world. Meanwhile, we’ve seen demand skyrocketing from companies hiring for climate jobs across all sectors. So we built the Terra.do app, combining climate careers, learning, and community into a single seamless platform that allows anyone to upskill themselves, build their climate career, and join a supportive global community working on solutions. We’re just getting started and would love to have you join us on the Terra.do platform. To paraphrase, humanity’s biggest crisis is also our biggest opportunity to build a better world. I’m especially excited to hunt Terra.do today so they can help many more people find their path into climate work.
