Signing bad contracts is the worst. TermScout uses NLP + human attorneys to analyze more than 600 data points in common SaaS agreements and rates them based on customer favorability. Less negotiating, less legal, less confusion. Stop signing bad contracts!
We built TermScout because we were tired of seeing companies cram their contracts with crap. As attorneys, we knew that companies made their public click-through agreements aggressive because they knew that nobody was reading them. Today, we’re shining light on big company’s fine print and empowering everyone to get a fast and free gut check on major contracts they’re asked to sign.
Today, we’re publishing ratings and related information on more than 150 top software companies, like AWS, Salesforce, Microsoft, Google, and Solarwinds. Soak it up, use it, and take pleasure knowing that by paying attention to the contracts you sign, you’re helping send a message to big companies that what they put in their contracts is now public knowledge, and people are paying attention.
✅ Quick gut checks on contract favorability for everyone
✅ Deeper clause-level analysis for more serious contract professionals
✅ Built and run by attorneys
✅ Backed by Techstars, and trusted by lawyers from startups to fortune 100 companies
We focus on software contracts today, but soon we’ll go into privacy policies, employment agreements, independent contractor agreements, payday lending agreements, finance agreements, business associate agreements, and beyond.

@maxpgreenwald Gah. We've felt your pain! Yes please! You can totally suggest contracts here! Can't guarantee timing yet for non-paid customers, but we really would love to see from our users which contracts are most interesting. If people are suggesting the same contract, we'll get to it!!
@globigco, yes. Complete this form to let us know what contracts you want us to look at next. Bonus: we'll add the next five contract requests we receive to our queue for next week!
My criticism is that as a consumer you usually don't have any bargaining power in contracts - hence I can't do anything about bad clauses in contracts.
@randomdraw637484 That's a fair point! We've heard from lots of users things like "Google won't negotiate with me" but we think bringing transparency might help root out bad clauses longer-term. And it could help with negotiations with smaller vendors or even limit some back and forth/redlines. We appreciate the feedback!
@randomdraw637484 There's also value in just knowing what you're signing. For example, AWS's contract says that if they terminate you "for cause", they can delete all of your data. I probably can't negotiate that out of my contract with AWS, but I can make sure my CTO understands this provision so that if ever we are at risk of being terminated (for example if we were behind on payments), we'd be on notice to make sure we've got everything backed up.
