I'm the original developer of Tavern of Azoth. I started this project to help improve a few small aspects of my TTRPG campaigns. The main thing I wanted to do was to be able to create a merchant contextual to my situation and environment in my campaign. I also wanted the merchant to only have a few items to help reduce the players' choice fatigue and make each purchase decision feel important. This also helped improve the pacing of my campaigns. Now a visit with a merchant can be as quick as a few minutes. From there, we've continued to build upon Tavern of Azoth. The obvious next thing we wanted to do was enable game masters to generate amazing and unique creatures for their campaigns. Now, if you can imagine a creature, in less than a minute you can have that creature, along with an illustration and a downloadable PDF. So you can print and bring the creature to the table in less time than it takes to search through a manual for something appropriate for your party's experience and level. Even more exciting for us those is our most recently development. We built our own AI Game Master for Tavern of Azoth. This enables you and up to 3 more friends to join a campaign online and all go on an adventure together. Campaigns are moderated by the AI Game Master and include AI-driven voice narration. The AI Game Master enforces the rules of the game. So as a player, you have unlimited creative freedom to explore and interact with the world, as long as it's within your character's capabilities — gone are the days where you can't jump the fence! Tavern of Azoth has changed the bounds of gaming. You can create content in seconds and you can experience a story-driven adventure with your friends in a way that was never possible before.
