not to be rude but this is a direct and blatant ripoff of @remarkhq - the export options they claim to have don't exist. we're not worried about takes.io and welcome competitors but if you're going to claim features, they should at least have a reference somewhere in the product.
imitation is the sincerest form of flattery but if you're going to copy, at least start off with an mvp that works. T_T
@taylorhou MVP? Seriously?
I just tried both and you both have great products even tough I appreciated takes.io UX more than remarkHQ. Be honored by getting competitors, especially if they're good!
@taylorhou@remarkhq Hi Taylor, I'm the cofounder of takes.io.
To be honest with you, takes.io is a fork of a "Multimedia Google Drive" project we worked on 2 years ago, and we knew we would have competitors until our release ;)
We decided to focus on annotation and that's probably why you think we are a copy, by augmenting Vimeo & stuff.
You should definitely try takes.io and you'll see that we have a different approach than RemarkHQ (very nice product btw).
Also, regarding the exports, we're working on this feature with lots of editors, and releasing it on demand by the users.
The feature is available to the most worthy of it! ;)
We are from Paris, so if you ever come by, feel free to say hello :)
@taylorhou@alexisohayon@holidog It will be a pleasure :) Tweet me when you're in town, I'll introduce you to the FrenchTech World (and grab some great Belgian beers) ;)
