Hello Product Hunt👋 I'm Yamato, building Tabl from Tokyo together with @sho_yasuda_undesk. Two years ago, both of us had babies and became new dads 👶 Changing diapers and building a product were not easy to do at the same time. Naturally, it became critical for us to improve the quality of remote work. So about a year ago, we launched our first product - Undesk 0.1. Let me share two big learnings along the way. 1. People spend most of their time in a browser If you check your desktop screen time, chances are a browser is the most used app every day. In fact, a browser might be the only app you use more than Slack or a code editor. 2. The more presence your team shares, the easier it is to start collaborating If you can see your teammates IRL in the office, it's easier to talk to them than just seeing the green dot in Slack. Similarly, viewer icons in GDocs or colourful cursors in Figma can reduce the friction of collaboration. Based on these insights, we started building a new product to help teams move faster. Today we are launching Tabl - a multi-player web browser. The browser experience has always been single-player. With Tabl you can: 1) Find what your teammate is up to, 2) Invite them to your current tab, and 3) Voice / Screen / Cursors are shared instantly. @gomitamu Currently, we are implementing co-browsing technology with limited remote control. Based on our user interviews, we've found that it's very rare for people to want to remotely control the other side. Typically, one person sharing the screen will facilitate and take control. Other viewers want to scroll and point, but not really click and type. Slack originally had a remote control feature.
