This is the built-in macOS color picker as a standalone app with lots of additional features. Quickly copy, paste, convert between different color formats, toggle it directly from the menu bar, keyboard shortcuts, launch it at login, and more.
I made this app as I generally like the built-in color picker on macOS, but I could only use it from inside certain apps. I also added some features I need all the time, like being able to copy-paste colors in various formats.
The app is very customizable with a bunch of preferences. For example, you could put it in the menu bar, and show the color sampler with a global keyboard shortcut, and then have the color copied to the clipboard after picking.
The app is open source on GitHub.
Amazing, If I had a penny for the number of times I've needed to see and copy hex in the HSB view, I'd have a dozen more macs.
Is there a way to replace the current system picker with this one?

Unfortunately not, but I am planning to make a plugin for the built-in color picker, which would make it possible to bring parts of the app to any instance of the built-in color picker.
I am so impressed with the functionality and ease of use of this app. As someone who works as a frontend developer, having a reliable and accurate color picker is essential to my workflow. The System color picker has exceeded my expectations in every way. It's incredibly intuitive and allows me to quickly and easily select colors from various sources, including images and websites. The built-in palettes are also a fantastic feature, making it easy for me to save and organize my most recently used colors. Overall, I highly recommend this app to anyone in need of a reliable and efficient tool for selecting colors.
