Reading lists suck! Save everything for later and then get paralysed by choice 😣 Swipee makes the choice for you. Instead of a reading list, Swipee uses a deck of swipeable cards. This way, you'll never have to see your ever growing list of content 🙌
I built a basic version of Swipee in the Spring of 2018 and have been using it every day since. I thought other people might also find it useful, so I decided to clean it up and make it available to everyone for free. I'm not a pro coder and this is my first time on Product Hunt so I'm slightly nervous about hitting the "launch" button... here we go ... 😬
Would be nice if it was easier to add to the reading list, I currently use pocket and it's quite a bit of work to migrate, also with pocket it's super easy to add things to reading list via the extension. Definitely tackles a problem though, I don't get through 99% of the things I've saved in my pocket reading list.
Thanks for taking the time to have a look at my app @moizahmed1 - I'm glad you can see value in what I've built. I'm very grateful that you have provided specific feedback 🙏.. I guess there are two pain points here, 1) migrating from pocket and 2) adding new links.
On point 1, I'm curious whether you found the option to "Import data from file" in Swipee settings? This option doesn't make migrating frictionless (there is still some work to do around tagging links as read/listen/watch and short/medium/long) but I'm interested whether this option is easy to find and understand?
On point 2, this is a tricker one. Swipee is a webapp which is great in some sense but not in others. No app store pain 😊 but iOS doesn't yet support Web Share Target API which means there currently isn't a way of sharing a link from e.g. Safari to Swipee in an automated way like on android 😞 . I'm curious, where do you use the Pocket extension the most, on mobile or desktop?
Thanks again for your input.
