Many of the you Swift developers out there may remember the clever Swiftify converter from 2015 - it was a web tool that allowed you to paste Objective-C code and convert it to Swift.
Through popular demand, Alex Petuschak, the mind behind Swiftify, went hard at work in creating an XCode extension that allows you to highlight Objective-C code directly in your source files, and with the click of a button, convert it to Swift. The team has also assured that the Swift code is always updated to reflect latest changes in the language.
Very cool stuff!
@benguild Good question!
It does not work offline at the moment because our current converter is not supposed to run natively on a Mac, or especially be packaged inside the Xcode extension.
However, we know there is a demand for an Offline Converter, and thus we are planning to release one in the nearest future.
Offline Converter will be a standalone app, and the Xcode extension will be able to connect to it, thus working completely offline.
