My co-founder and I started a subscription design company that offers unlimited design requests per month at a reasonable price. By keeping costs low and diversifying our business endeavors we can charge our clients a reasonable monthly price without hiring off-shore workers.

About 4 years ago I started my marketing agency. As I worked with dozens of clients every year, I saw many of them go through this terribly prolonged process of on-boarding a full-time graphic designer.
As a solutions oriented business owner, I asked myself, how can I fix this problem for these clients? They are paying upwards of $4,500/month for a full-time designer that they quite frankly, don’t have enough work to justify the hire.
After discussing this issue and possible solutions with my now co-founder Logan (web designer and developer). We came up with the idea to create an on-demand design subscription to make design projects super simple for companies looking to launch a new product, create a marketing campaign, or just need a new logo.
The problem we found with current design subscription services was always 1 of 2 things...
1. Cheap price but they push ALL their work to off-shore designers that cost pennies on the dollar and deliver less than ideal work. You get what you pay for I guess.
2. SUPER expensive prices ($5,000/month and up). Which I’m sure you realize is not reasonably affordable for most small businesses and startups. And defeats the purpose of not hiring a full-time designer.
Our solution is to price ourselves in the middle while keeping all of the work in-house. How do we achieve a cheaper price?
1. Small team. We’re a team of two as of now. I’m traditionally trained in art and graphic design. I handle most of the branding that clients request. Logan is a self-taught website design and developer who’s been working within Webflow for 4.5 years now.
2. Completely remote. A lot of these massive design companies have a huge office in a major city. While offices have pros, they are undeniably expensive. By lowering costs, we can lower prices.
3. Other businesses. This is not our primary source of revenue. Because of that, we can afford to take lower profit margins per customer in the hopes it attracts more customers further down the road.

I think about that a lot too, your pricing is SUPER affordable. Maybe one of the most competitive prices for your level of experience I've seen.
