Studius is a flashcards app that helps you remember information forever. It uses spaced-repetition to show you cards at the right time and optimizes learning. From today, Studius also has graded Test Mode that simulates an exam-like quiz.
Hey ProductHunt, super excited for our first post here π
We started Studius about a year ago as we grew frustrated using existing quiz apps to study Medicine and Hebrew. Weβre both engineers so we set out to build a better alternative. Fast-forward one year and hundreds of students (including ourselves) regularly use Studius to study everything from Medicine to languages to engineering.
Studius helps you study cards with:
πͺ Spaced repetition: the scientifically proven way to memorize new material across increasing intervals
π Deck sharing with other students: get a shareable link to a deck in one click (here's an example https://app.studius.ai/decks/e1e...)
π± Web-browser first: works on desktop, iOS, Android, etc.
π€ Import cards from other apps: Quizlet, Anki, Word/Google Documents and many more
π Image Occlusion card type: hide parts of an image to test your knowledge (e.g. it's a handy feature to study Medical diagrams!)
π Weβre adding a Premium tier today ($4/month) that unlocks the Test mode. With a Premium account, you can simulate an exam-like quiz without affecting your spaced-repetition study progress. π
Weβd love to get your feedback, either in the comments or at info@studius.ai. Thank you!
@health_rational hey, absolutely!
The main benefits over Anki are:
- Studius runs in the browser, on any device. So you can use your phone, tablet and computer to keep studying.
- It allows you to create one-time tests to check your knowledge at any given time
- You can easily share decks with other students by generating a link for any of your decks
- We support Image Occlusion, which you need an add-on for in Anki
Most people who use Studius actually found Anki hard to use or never really got into it. We built it because we find Anki too clunky and wanted better mobile support.
