The aesthetic of the website kinda reminds me of Poolside FM. As a happily married, I'm not the target demographic for this app, but looks fun for those into astrology and/or alternative ways to meeting new people. They say sceptics are welcome - so maybe give it a go either way? It's also reminding me of a mixture between those older teen magazines from the 90s that would tell you who to date based on star-sign and a mashup with Dream Phone - anyone remember that game?

Thanks @ejsnowdon for the hunt! We designed Struck not just as an astrology dating app, but also as a way to slow down the online dating world we've all become accustomed to. Our hope is to make online dating more thoughtful and to encourage more meaningful conversations more quickly. A few "quirks" you'll find on Struck: ✦ You see users' priorities first, not their photos. ✦ Users receive 4 matches per day--not an endless stream of people. ✦ All users have been paired using our algorithm for astrological compatibility (synastry). ✦ Users can select 1 person/day to message, encouraging more thoughtful decision making. ✦ To the point above--the fact that we include priorities at all is unique. A big pain point I faced when online dating was the time it took to uncover simple realities about another person's worldview and what was important to them. We're trying to mitigate some of that. ✦ Trait selection which includes options that people might not otherwise include in their dating profiles. Users get caught up in presenting the best versions of themselves, even if that's not accurate. We allow users to describe themselves as "anxious" and "perpetually late" because those are pieces of whole human beings. Struck is for astrology believers and skeptics alike--the only thing required is an open mind. 💫
