Strand is a community-based NFT platform built with creators in mind. Launch a community through Strand, distribute access token NFTs to your community, and monetise exclusive content through token drops and royalties on secondary sales. Strand runs on the Polygon network, so gas fees are tiny and eco-friendly compared to other blockchain solutions.
I see web3 as a great opportunity for creators to bring additional value to their communities whilst generating more revenue from their content. Membership NFTs are a perfect next step for creators looking to explore the world of web3 and the power of NFTs.

- Currently, minting a new community costs 0.01 ETH. This is primarily to prevent early spamming of the smart contract and I'll be looking at ways to make this free going forward. I'll be continuing to develop new features for Strand over the coming days and weeks. A quick look at what's next:
- Strand mobile app. This is in the late stages of development and lets community owners and members to talk to their communities from anywhere.
- New community features. Think direct messages between community members and the ability to share new types of content (music anyone?).
- Voting mechanics. Turn communities into DAOs by giving your members votes on content.
