Why I created StoryPrompt: StoryPrompt was spun out of the challenges I faced at Sendible as a bootstrapped founder. For a period of 3 years, our growth stalled and I needed a way to stand out in a crowded, venture-backed space. 📉 I decided to position us as the smaller, more approachable alternative. So, I opened up my calendar every afternoon for office hours with customers. What I didn’t expect was that in the process of having these calls, not only was I giving the Sendible brand a face in a sea of faceless competitors, but I was collecting valuable social proof and building a community of advocates. As a result, we doubled our revenue, were listed as one of the top 3 social media management tools on G2, and were ultimately acquired in 2021. 🚀 However, despite its effectiveness, meeting customers face-to-face every day and collecting feedback in this way just isn’t scalable for most CEOs, let alone companies. That is a great idea, but I suppose that there should be an option to let people perceive an information not only through video but through text as well. These two ways of communication have their own advantages and disadvantages. The question is didn't you think about integrate some video-to-text module to extend your existing functionallity? It's not about changing your video-to-video communication strategy but about simplifying user expirience. Or you suppose if you would add some auto-generated text it broke the entire concept? The rest is awesome! Congrats on launch! 🔥

@stavrogyn great question. We are thinking of supporting text and we already have functionality in our API that can convert text to video with voiceovers. This should be coming to the front end soon.

@stavrogyn just to add to this… any audio or videos that are posted or collected are automatically transcribed and users can navigate to parts of the video or read what was said without the need to watch the entire clip.

Martine is professional and generous with her time. Gavin is always so well thought through and I find his thinking and unique ways superb. They are a power team. Bottom line this has wings. I haven’t been able to give Storyprompt the attention it deserves, but it is on my radar to start using this to build engagement within the communities I serve. My key goals are to build belonging, engagement, save time and get people out of zoom-flat out days also working with global teams. This is where Storyprompt works so well. Well done guys.
