I've been on the beta of this for a while. Think its really interesting actually - but I want something that is gunna 10x vs Google Photos. Im shit at remembering to take photos and stuff but there is definitely something here.
I tried Fabric for a while too which was in a similar field.
btw send testflights to ben.tossell@gmail.com :)
Tell us the story here!
@bentossell thanks for the support! We are on our way to be 10x better than Google Photos slideshows in creating meaningful content from your photos 😀 And also to save people that don't take many photos to have something to look back.
This version has a Collaboration feature, so all of your "take-a-bunch-of-photos" friends (everyone has one) can invite you to contribute to a Group Video Memory. This way you make sure that despite you don't take many photos, all of you have, in a simple and easy way, a memory of that gathering, night out or dinner with family.
@thejoaosantos Then I cannot wait to bring up my initial feedback when its taken over Google Photos completely :)
I'm bad at general curation - songs, photos etc and I love tools/background apps especially that just do this for me, in an awesome way
@bentossell@thejoaosantos 100% agree I like this line, but I think there is definitely something that needs to be 10x Google Photos. I'm not saying Google Photos collections are beautiful, but it's a nice starting place and a 🔑 in understanding what is good and what is NOT.
@as_austin@bentossell Agree completely! No doubt that Google Photos has all the resources (both users, data and tech) to do something more.
Although, as makers of Storyo, we always feel that with Google Photo collections, or Apple Memories, there is always something missing, which is Context and Relevance.
That's what we want to bring with Storyo: Add data from the web + People that shared those moments + all your digital footprint (social media and other networks).
All this powered by our proprietary storytelling algorithm that sorts the photos, divided by chapters, and select the best ones.

Hi everyone and thank you @erictwillis for hunting us 😻
We’ve just launched Storyo 2.0. With this version we want to become your favorite production assistant to document the times of your life. Our goal as we build Storyo is to help people share the memories that are buried in their camera roll combining their photos + the metadata behind the photos + our digital footprint.
With Storyo 2.0 it’s even easier to share those memories:
- RealStory(o) Technology: Our super-smart algorithm indexes and organizes large number of user photos into beautiful & meaningful chapter-like video stories on the fly;
- Easy collaboration: Finally users can invite friends to pitch in with their photos of a special moment and Storyo puts together everyone’s photos into one video story with everyone’s shared assets;
- Context & content rich: Storyo makes context-rich stories by adding amazing visual details likes maps, weather info, Facebook posts and automatic labels;
- Pro-looking stories: To make stories better, Storyo suggests and seamlessly adds beautiful high quality, professional stock videos from a collection of +100.000 clips from Shutterstock.
- Storyfeed - An auto-curated collection of memories crafted from photos and everyday snippets (special days and occasions, trips, etc) is our new way to look at user’s camera roll.
So now we need your feedback, suggestions, and love before we roll out other exciting features.
Feel free to reach out with any questions and comments!
