Use Story View to grab the attention of your visitors with a short attention span. Highlight the most important parts of your articles in a story-like format, with images and short sentences for better engagement.
Hi Ferenc,
This looks great!
How do the stories come up in search? Do they work like an AMP post? Or is this for visual purposes only? (and ease of use for the user, I get that).
Looking at this in comparison to tools that create AMP stories that you can embed in your post and show up & are indexed in Google?
Thanks,
Kim
@kimdoyal
Hi Kim,
thank you :)
They are mainly for visual purposes. If someone finds your content through search, they won't see that a story version is also available only if the visit your page.
It's almost like when you embed a YouTube video to your post.
It can help to improve your position in the serp by keeping your visitors on your site. Let's say they find your article but it looks a bit longer than the one they are looking for. Without Story View, they'll probably go back to select another option from the search results. As far as I know, the time a visitor spends on your site before returning to the search page is something that affects your position. So the longer you can keep them on your site, the better.
@kimdoyal Hi Kim, today I rolled out the latest version of the plugin with AMP Story support. So from now, it's not just for visual purposes but also to drive more traffic to your website from search. Here is a short summary abbout this feature: https://storyviewplugin.com/amp-...
I also implemented an other feature, called Custom Blocks. With the help of that, you can add custom HTML codes, shortcodes to your stories, so you can embed subscription forms, videos, and any kind of HTML blocks to your stories. Here is a demo with an embedded MailChimp subscription form: https://demo.storyviewplugin.com...
Let me know what you think about these.
👋 Hi Everyone,
there is no break on the maker train, here comes my 4th product 😸
I've built Story View to help content creators keep their visitors inside their own platform.
Here is how it works:
- create a post the way you usually do
- select the most important parts and use them to create a highlighted version of your article
- use the simple combination of images and short texts to communicate your message
- enjoy, that users will stay on your site to read the full article because of the highlights
This is just one use case Story View can help you with. It's also perfect to create a step by step guide for a recipe, to highlight the most important parts of an event, to share your favorite scenes or characters from a movie, etc.
As always, looking for your feedback.

@drew_dunn1 Hi Drew, thank you. So far, so good :) I should definitely work on my distribution and marketing strategy. I was focusing on shipping the main features of the product first, but I think now it's ready for a wider audience.
@drew_dunn1 on the day of launch, I got 692 visitors on the landing page, 197 on the second day. 2 purchases on the first, and 2 other purchases on the second day.
@sujesh_thekkepatt1 hey Sujesh. Custom blocks with shortcode and custom HTML code support are now available in the plugin. Here is a demo with an embedded MailChimp form: https://demo.storyviewplugin.com...
You can add almost any kind of HTML to these blocks. Let me know what you think.
