This is our new app from the rumr team :) It's a really simple way to make collaborative picture and video slideshows. We think its great for the holidays and a lot of fun.
Hey, @jmjerlecki! I remember when you launched the "anonymish" app Rumr ~9 months ago. It had an interesting hook, although admittedly it didn't stick with me. What made you pivot to Stichy?
@rrhoover :) Something we spend a lot of time thinking about is how groups interact and share with each other. So with rumr, while everyone is quick to always point to the negativity of anonymity, our desire really was for groups of friends to be more open and honest with one another. rumr works really well when your friends are engaged and active in the chat, but if you can't get them in there it's tough. Seeing sort of a similar take, but different execution, we weren't really surprised to see yik yak take off the way it did.
So with Stichy, in thinking about how people collaborate on mobile with media, we felt there was nothing really out there that was really simple and fun, from a viewing and capturing experience. The slideshow mechanism for viewing we think is a lot of fun and you can sit back and watch it or move through it more quickly. Very early, but focusing on trying to make it really simple to collaborate on mobile.
