Hi PH community!
And big thanks to @andrewett for helping us out with our first post!
I'm Mazin from @MarineTraffic , what we do is simple. We offer a useful website and 2 cool apps where you can track ships and monitor ports.
For starters, we changed the name and designed a new icon for our previous app called mAIS. More importantly though we have invested a lot of time in research and development to ensure the app offers users a smoother experience with a set of cool new features that allow you to focus on what’s important, a safe and enjoyable time on the water.
In this version look out for:
- Use MarineTraffic trusted AIS network to view vessels around you, including vital detail such as vessel, length, width, speed, last position received, course, distance from you, bearing and time to near me vessel position.
- Cruise Mode allows you to track your position, speed and course. You may also view your projected course, the distance from nearby vessels and their speed and course.
- Easy and fast registration process requiring MMSI, vessel name and type, call sign, length and width. (You can also register multiple vessels.)
- Past Voyages allows you to store all your voyages automatically, recall and view them at any moment with animated playback of your vessel track.
- Information regarding ports, marinas and lighthouse, including location, photos and vessels berthed.
- Day and Night mode interface.
- Near Me shows you vessels, ports and lighthouses up to a 100 nautical mile radius.
Our new app is available on iOS and Google Play.
